The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) recently announced that approximately $1.4 million will be available for Federal Clean Water Act Section 319 grants for projects that seek to reduce non-point-source pollution in Minnesota’s waters. Projects must be located in a critical area of a watershed that has an EPA-approved Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) plan. The minimum grant award is $50,000 and there is no cap, but grantees must cover at least 40 percent of the total project cost. Applications are due by March 2. More information can be found here.
